Twin Falls Hailed as Best Place in Idaho to Start a Business

Business Information & insights firm Swyft Filings recently published a fascinating report using data from the United States Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and an array of other government-provided figures. The findings? Twin Falls is 31 in the Gem State to get a business going. This was reflective of the surprising-to-some headline trend in the study - the best places often were not the largest cities in their respective states. Have a look at the 49 other entrepreneur-friendly cities here.

Local Bank to Add Wealth Management Division

First Federal Bank is a Magic Valley staple, and it’s growing! President & CEO Jason Meyerhoeffer announced in mid-September the addition of a wealth and investment management division. It will be overseen by Ben Duncanson, who has been employed at national firms such as Vanguard and Charles Schwab. Clients will be able to enjoy services focused on investing, retirement and estate planning, tax preparation, and numerous other benefits.

Twin Falls Set to Gain a New Center for Community Health

Teamwork really does make the dream work, and there’s no better example than the community health center underway in Twin Falls. The massive undertaking has been made possible by the St. Luke’s Health System, Family Health Services, Twin Falls School District, the city and county of Twin Falls, the South Central Public Health District, and the College of Southern Idaho. Say all that in one breath! According to director Maria Contreras, “The Center for Community Health's goal is to be able to provide non-clinical navigation services for our community members to have better access to their needs”.

Radio, Advertising & Marketing

Idaho, a Standout Hub for Radio Advertising

Some people incorrectly assume radio’s dying everywhere. The truth is not only it’s alive and well, it’s growing in certain regions, and Idaho belongs in the one projected to be the most promising. S & P Global Market Intelligence (yes, the same S&P as the stock market index) pegged the “Mountain” region as the highest, in terms of projected growth. View the full, detailed report from the titan of data here.

Could Radio Portend a Recession NOT Happening?

51,727. That’s the shocking number of radio spots aired by hiring service ZipRecruiter. And the real kicker? That was in a week! Rounding out the top 5 advertisers are household names, so much so that anyone doubting radio’s reliability in spreading the word, is simply misinformed. Those heavy hitters would be Bank of America, Babbel, Vicks, and Discover. Radio-obsessor Home Depot had a rare off-week.

Hello Politics, Hello Radio

Once upon a time, television had an unrelenting grip of political ad budgets. Now, the landscape is much more diverse. Not only is traditional radio absorbing some of the spend, but online radio is fast approaching as a force to be reckoned with. BIA Advisory Services projects a 28% jump on digital into 2024. That amounts to a sum of $2.64 billion. With all the talk about politicians having inside scoop, clearly they’re privy to where the voters are!
