Twin Falls Radio Advertising, News & Business - July 2022

The year is over halfway done, can you believe it? Of course, it’s been bumpy for small businesses in the Magic Valley, which we’ll address below. In more positive news, Inside Radio released some stunningly powerful figures related to advertising on the airwaves. Let’s get to it!

Twin Falls

Market on Main May Just Ease Inflation

Small businesses often suffer the hardest during inflation, and it’s certainly the case across the Magic Valley. But Market on Main in downtown Twin is hoping to lighten the burden for our local small businesses. Local honey company  “Bee the Light” cites glass jars, shipping, freight and more as costs that have risen. You can support dozens of small businesses like ‘Bee the Light” at Market on Main every Saturday from 9 AM until 1 PM.

Massive Clif Bar Facility To Continue Making Bars Under New Ownership.

A $2.9 billion-dollar deal went down with Magic Valley implications! The popular Clif Bar & Co. was bought by Mondelez international, who will continue manufacturing the popular snack bars at the same Twin Falls facility.

Farewell to the Twin Falls URA Downtown Arts Subcommittee

Over four years, the Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency oversaw a slew of intriguing projects in the downtown area. But sometimes, a budget simply runs out. The last order of business was creating brochures listing addresses of Twin’s best public artwork, most of which was created as a direct result of the committee. The remaining $4,600 on the budget will go toward maintaining murals in the downtown commons area.

Radio, Media & Business

Radio’s Top Advertisers so far in 2022

This Inside Radio report is a terrific response to anyone doubting the relevance of radio in 2022. Perhaps the most interesting takeaway is Indeed and ZipRecruiter being ranked #1 and #4, respectively. Evidence that radio works for recruitment doesn’t get much stronger than that!

Audio: The Next Generation of Advertising

AdAge conducted an excellent interview with Mike Kropko, co-CEO of Ad Results Media, a creator-based audio & video ad agency. It’s a highly informative read on the rapid evolution of content, audience growth & engagement, and branding.

Age Demographics of Radio Listeners

If you’re a sports fan, you likely know a certain priority that has emerged over the past few years - attracting youth. This has been particularly true for baseball, the sport suffering arguably the biggest decline over the past decade.

Could the same be true for radio? Recent data has revealed a growing discrepancy in the age groups tuning into the radio. Could the next goldmine be the company or companies that figure out a way to get more youngsters listening? It’s clear those 40+ and up aren’t going away anytime soon, so any new ears are merely cherries on top.

Fortunately, we at Iliad Media Group have strategized to ensure our stations speak to all types of listeners. And that’s why they’re top rated, both here and in Boise. So if you or someone you know has a business that wants to outsmart competition and generate more sales through the best radio advertising in town, we’d love to chat.
